In the Terrasses du Larzac, merit does not equate with years
|
| |
Just three examples of the truth in the saying ‘value does not equate with years’ : - Les Chemins de Carabote domaine achieved a ‘coup de coeur’ in the Guide Hachette des Vins with its first vintage. This young Domaine founded in 2005 by Nicole Michel and Jean-Yves Chaperon is an enthusiastic defender of the Terrasses du Larzac. - - Another equally promising start for the Domaine Le Clos du Serres. Béatrice and Sébastien Fillon started making wine in 2006 and got off to a terrific start as ‘new talent’ when their Clos 2007 appeared in the Revue du Vin de France 2009 Guide to the best wines at reasonable prices. The Guide Bettane & Desseauve awarded 85/100 to their 100% Carignan from 85 year old vines. - The Terrasses du Larzac Appellation, achieved in 2004, was the culmination of long and hard collective work which continues as the producers continue to promote their terroir with a dynamism that attracts ever more talent to the area.
